Code of Nature Co., Ltd. has been selected as the first Korean portfolio company by the EQT Foundation, the philanthropic arm of global private equity giant EQT Partners, one of the world’s top three private equity firms.
The investment totals approximately €100,000, and will be accompanied by access to EQT’s global network and 300 hours of consulting support from Ernst & Young (EY).
Code of Nature is a Korean startup with a proprietary eco-friendly technology that restores degraded soil through moss spore cultivation and application. Compared to conventional heavy-equipment-based methods, its solution significantly reduces both cost and time, offering a sustainable path to large-scale soil recovery.
Cecilia Holmes Indahl, CEO of EQT Foundation, described Code of Nature’s technology as “an innovative idea we've been searching for over a long time.”
Jae-Hong Park, CEO of Code of Nature, responded: “With the support of EQT and EY, we aim to deepen our research and scale our impact.”
